Techno-Activism Third Mondays is an informal meetup designed to interconnect and create synergies between techno-activists and hacktivists in the New York area who work on or with circumvention tools, and are interested in anti-censorship and anti-surveillance issues. - The Intersection of Humanitarianism & Tech

Data Scientist and Co-Founder of Change AssemblyLearn about challenges, opportunities, new intiatitives, wish list items, and much more.
- Lightning Talks:
Attendees will have the opportunity to give three-minute presentations on their topic of choice ranging from their current research and/or projects, to obstacles in the techno-activism community they would like to see addressed. Register your talk on the wiki, on the page for this particular date.
- Philosophy Shakeup
To improve creativity and brainstorming, its good
to rewire your brain and force yourself to think outside
of the box. Enjoy a short philsophical presentation
designed to help "jump start" your brain. Professor and topic TBD.
The event will start at 6:30pm @ the OpenITP/ New America Foundation SOHO offices. Yummy goodies and drinks will be served. Internet will also be provided for those who want to hack projects. However, the main goal of the event is to create synergies between those New Yorkers who are most passionate about keeping the internet open and free.
